Yesterday was my birthday and I turned 31, my wife made me an awesome compucake and I got some really cool presents, including some Lundberg Rice Syrup which I like a lot. Coming up this weekend is a remembrance party for my dearly departed friend Ian Ross who passed away last year. He was a great guy and a true friend. Unfortunately I can't make it to the party, but from the sounds of it there is going to be an awesome display of his artwork and photography. Coincidentally, yesterday I framed a picture he gave me years ago. Like Ian, the picture was difficult. It didn't wan't to go into a frame, and was generally unmanageable, but in the end a really beautiful piece of work.
