At a private press conference today, Albert Lash announced that he would not be running to replace recently deceased Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy.
“I’ve decided against returning to Massachusetts at this time,” Albert said to his seventeen month old daughter Eloise, the only reporter invited to the press conference.
Eloise pressured her father with a repetitive question: “All done?” while raising her arms up with an inquisitive gesture. She seemed to insinuate that the news comes as no surprise, given that Mr. Lash has little to no experience with public office and would not likely win the special election.
"As much as I miss where I grew up, for now my home is here in Bethesda, Maryland with my daughter."
Mr. Lash also noted that while he remains dedicated to public service, his daughter is his number one priority.
After the press conference, Eloise proceeded to hug her stuffed animals and run around waving her arms.
